Description of how to implement in the class: For a classroom with Kindergarten students, this
will be used to help the students understand the sun and the moon. The Glog has GIFs of the earth
rotating around the sun and the moon rotating around the earth to give the student visuals. IT also
explains that during the day its time for play but at night time its time for sleep. If the classroom has
older students, this Glog would be used as an example. Then, the students would be given a topic
topic and create their own Glog.
Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi): If the students are in Kindergarten, the LoTi level
would be level 1 which would be awareness. This is because the teacher would be using the
technology. If the older students were making their own Glog, the LoTi level would be level 4 which is
integration because the students would be using the technology. If the students were to create
their own Glog, it would fall under the ISTE standard 1: Students demonstrat e creative
thinking, construct knowledge, and develop innovative products and processes using
technology. A. Apply existing knowledge to generate new ideas, products or processes.
Students will also be using ISTE standard 3: Students apply digital tools to gather, evaluate,
and use information. C. Evaluate and select information sources and digital tools based on the
appropriateness to specific tasks. The students would be looking things up and doing a little
research to complete their Glog.
Description of the sample BBPT file provided *: I saved the Glog on the Glogster website. Then I
got an embedded code. I put the embedded code on my Weebly profile and the Glog showed up on my
profile. I did not have to save my file as anything in particular, just saved it to the site.
