    FALL OF ROME

    ROMAN PROBLEMS
    The last Severan ruler died
    and Rome just went
    downhill.
    Rome didnt have a set
    leader for about 50 years.
    Rome had 22 different
    emperors during that time.
    The government lowered
    the value of coins and
    inflation happened.

    DIOCLETIAN &
    CONSTANTINE
    Diocletian became emperor and made
    some big changes.
    He tried to stop deflation by setting wages
    and prices, but his changes failed.
    Constantine also tried to settle the empire.
    Constantine made the west of Rome fail
    and the east succeeded.

    INVASION OF ROME
    The Romans couldnt hold off the
    Germanic tribes any more.
    The tribes saw that the Romans got
    to be weak.
    All of the other tribes invaded them
    because they were a rich country.

    ROMAN LEGACY
    The civilization of Rome had a great
    legacy.
    They lasted for 1000 or more years and
    they have become very popular in our
    history lessons today.
    Rome was responsible for most of what
    the US uses for our system of government
    in Washington DC.
