Five Year Plan
In the next five years, I plan to attend college and pursue a career in pharmacy. I wish to
utilize my skills and knowledge to provide families and their loved ones with the medical
attention that they need. I plan to achieve this career goal by attending college and receiving
hands-on training. The colleges I will be attending are Merced College, UC Merced, and
California Health Science University (CHSU).
My short-term goals are to finish my job site training at El Portal Pharmacy and graduate
from Merced High School with my high school diploma. I wish to use my experience and
knowledge I have learned from El Portal Pharmacy as reference to guide me on my educational
and career path. My long-term goals are to finish my college education and obtain an entry-level
job in the pharmacy field. After I graduate from high school with my diploma, I will be attending
Merced College for two years to obtain an Associates Degree in Biological Science. During my
two years, I will apply to transfer to UC Merced. Once I graduate with my Associate's Degree in
Biological Science, I will be attending UC Merced and take the necessary classes needed to
obtain a Bachelors Degree in Biological Science. I also plan to seek employment as a Pharmacy
Technician while I take classes at UC Merced. Before I can seek employment as a Pharmacy
Technician, I plan to take the PTcB exam to be certified as Pharmacy Technician.While I am
attending UC Merced, I plan to take the Pharmacy College Admission Test in order to be eligible
to apply for transferring to the California Health Science University (CHSU). After I receive my

Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences, I will attend classes at CHSU to obtain a Pharm. D.
Degree. Once I obtain my Pharm. D. Degree, I will seek employment as a pharmacist.
