Dear [],
I am a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha at Loyola University Chicago. On March 18, our sorority
will host an annual fundraising event that benefits Special Olympics, a worldwide sports
organization for people with intellectual disabilities.
Our event, Ladybug Olympics, allows us to engage the student body and fundraise as a group.
We invite our peers to participate in a recreational volleyball tournament. Every year residents
from Misericordia Heart of Mercy join us; engaging with Special Olympic athletes makes these
event even more sentimental.
This year our fundraising goal this year is $11,000. A small entry fee gives our guests access to
the tournament, food/drinks, and raffle tickets. That is where your business can help. To reach
our goal, we are asking for donations or gifts of any kind to make the fundraiser a success. Any
and all donations are greatly appreciated. These donations can be used as a tax write-off and all
donors will receive recognition for their contribution to Special Olympics at our event.
All are welcome to our event, it will take place at Loyola University Chicago. Ladybug
Olympics is designed to highlight part of the Special Olympics mission; to give continuing
opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in
a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with families, other Special Olympics athletes and the
community.
If you have any questions or would like to support Alpha Sigma Alpha and Special Olympics,
please contact Nicole Hardwick, Ladybug Olympics Chairwoman, at (708)334-2873.
With Kind Regards,
Ariana Garcia
