We are not talking of a portrait in sculpture, but
only in the two-dimensional art such as
photography.
Nicolas Le Beuan Bnic, from portraits of the
19th and 20th centuries he disembodied,
reveals perhaps a certain vanity in the art of a
posed portrait ? Who are they ? asks to the
dust ... These portraits reveal a fascinating
mystery that stimulates our imagination.
Nicolas Le Beuan Bnic: "I do not think a lot
about the meaning of my artistic work. This is
often the observer who use their vision on my
work. I wanted to push the process further in
this series of portraits.
I am now a "antiportraitiste." If a collector
wants its own antiportrait, I photograph it in
my gallery and then erase his identity, as in this
series of portraits "
Child, I have always been aesthetically
sensitive to family portraits, but the presence
of these looks was often too intense. I like the
idea of a truly anonymous portrait that
imposes no presence. "
The series of 12 numbered and signed
photographs will be exhibited at the art gallery
Le Beuan Bnic throughout the month of May.
