Throughout the production only three songs or tracks were incorporated; each to
stimulate different emotions in the audience.
Peppers Theme Full Mix
This track was found on a Royalty Free website and was used to support the
equilibrium that our film started with. It met our aim of creating a calm, tranquil
atmosphere so the audience do not expect what is to come.
Despair and Triumph
This was also found on a Royalty Free website and fades in after Peppers Mix. It
signals a change in atmosphere and highlights to the audience that the protagonist is
now in danger. This contributes to the thriller side of our production as it proves to
create a chilling experience for the audience simply because it plays the role of
creating tension. This track also helps the audience feel sympathy towards the
female character as they have already witnessed her calm, innocent nature.
Bryson Tiller The Sequence instrumental
I manipulated this sound by slowing the track down which emphasised the bass. The
incorporation of a song with heavy bass when our character was in a state of turmoil
proved to be extremely effective as it makes the audience members more anxious.
One convention of a thriller is to keep the audience on the edge of their seats which
we definitely achieved using this track.
