When relevant, bring up Shannon and Weaver model of communication

Read passage from short story Entropy by Thomas Pynchon

Have students draw out their own (figurative) depiction of the communication between two people
(student should be as creative as he or she wishes)

Collect drawings as formative assessment

Materials Needed:

Visual depiction of communication between humans (collected at end of class)
