Costume Notes for Ishmael

Character Name: Shane
The overall idea for Shanes costume is to present him as a typical young black male,
who is aggressive and stereotypically abusive towards his girlfriend. He will be wearing
a simple black short sleeved top, followed by black shorts. This will easily indicate to the
audience that he is quite confident with his body and allow them to identify the typical
conventions of a young black male.
The dark colours connote evil and power, along with a sense of mystery. The fact that
he is
wearing barely any clothing suggests his sexual
intentions
and the fact that he doesnt really take much care of
his
appearance.

Costume Notes for Sissy

Character Name: Chelsea
The overall idea for sissy is that she is presented as a typical
young white female who is innocent and pure. She will be
wearing a short white dress which emphasizes this purity as
well as allowing the audience to identify she is a typical female
who takes care of their appearance and makes an effort to look
good for her boyfriend.
Sissy will have her hair curled with a full face of make-up, this
includes red lipstick. The red connotes intimacy and romance,
which is what she expects from her boyfriend, however this is
contrasted when the tables turn and it, turns into something
nasty.
