Critique
My art has a picture of myself in a green background surrounded by
some aspects of nature along with my name and the year that my class
graduates from high school. My portraiture art was influenced by Kehinde
Wiley since I used photorealism in my art as I used a picture of myself and
filtered it so that the picture no longer looks identical to the original photo. I
brought the photo of myself into Photoshop and isolated the image so that
only I was in the screen, then; I used a filter to alter the image of myself. I
created my name and class year in Photoshop as well, but created a clipping
mask to make my name have an image, the same was done with the class
year. I put in several symbols to accentuate the subject of the art, in this
case myself. The art looks to be deserving of a grade around a 3 or so.
