Electrical Risks
Calderon Trujillo Jimmy - Meneses Cordoba Walter

ABSTRACT
In this practice we design a circuit that represents
the resistivity of the human body based on the
NTC 4120 and experimentally demonstrate
different situations electrical hazard based in the
ninth article of RETIE.

INTRODUCTION
The NTC 4120 is intended to provide basic
guidance on the effects of shock current on
humans and domestic animals for use in
establishing electrical safety requirements. RETIE
is the acronym for Technical Regulations of
Electrical Installations adopted by Colombia. The
fundamental object of RETIE is to establish
measures to ensure the safety of people, animal
and plant life and the preservation of the
environment;
preventing,
minimizing
or
eliminating the risk of electrical origin.

Procedure:
1. Design and assemble the resistive electric circuit
deducting each end of the body has a resistance of
250 .
2. Check experimentally situations of electric risk
such as:
a. Direct contact
b. Indirect contact
c. Short circuit
d. Step voltage
