Dear Parents,
Our theme for this term is We are Australian. We are learning about families,
local history and Indigenous culture. To help gain a deeper insight into these
topics the Pre-Primary and Year Two class will be going on an excursion to
Naturescape Kings Park .
On Wednesday 23rd of March Pre-Primary and Year 2 will travel by bus to
and from Kings Park. The bus will depart school at 9:00 am and return at
approximately 1pm. Students are required to wear their light blue sports
uniform and they will need to bring a small back pack containing a hat, water
bottle, recess and a small towel for drying feet. Lunch is to be left at school in
their usual school bag.
On the day the students will be involved in a range of open ended activities in
the Naturescape, including the Derbal Yerrigan Yarning and Chunyart and
the Cheeky Parrot learning experiences.
We require parent helpers for our excursion; if you are interested please write
your name in the section below. If we have too many volunteers we will draw
names out of the hat. Kings Park specifies that parents will need to supervise
their group carefully in the Naturescape and therefore they will not allow
younger siblings to attend.
Thank you for your continued support.
Mrs Cannon and Miss Mc Kenna
