WATER QUALITY IMPROVEMENT

THROUGH RAIN WATER SCREENING
ACTIVATED CARBON, ZEOLITE AND
LIMESTONE WITH DIFFERENT SIZE OF
COLUMN

In set of composition of material that use to filter the rain

water,used the best composition in order to filterize rain water
to be drinking water, the composition is :
-Upper Layer : zeolite
-Middle Layer : limestone
-Lower Layer : carbon active
This composition use in previous research to decreasing and
improve the parameter of pH and TDS.

From the table above show that the quality of water

that have been filtratted fulfill the parameter of
permenkes and WHO

Temporary Conclusion
The change of parameter pH, conductivity and TDS is affect by the
diameter of colomn and amount of material make the contact time
between rain water and filter material much faster and then much
smaller the colomn and water flow make consentration in filtration
more efficient to decrease or improve the parameter of pH and TDS.
