Paved Sidewalk Policy

Policy
Paved Sidewalk Policy.
All walkways connected to roads alongside school grounds must be paved.

Create safe/clean passageway for students, parents, and pedestrians

Issue
The dirt sidewalk along Flongsden road to Fairgrounds Dr also next to Solano
middle school is very hazardous and ugly and needs to be paved.
It Affects people in the vallejo community because since the dirt road is near a
middle school and a interse, most likely kids will not walk through the dirt path
and might choose a dangerous way to get to there school.

Benefits of a Paved sidewalk


Paved sidewalk makes the community look better .
Provides students and pedestrians a safe walkspace to travel on .
Prevents the buildup of dirt and debri and stops illegal garbage littering.
It is easy to maintain and clean up and repair overtime.

Survey for concrete sidewalk next to middle school


A survey for the staff and students of Solano middle school will be made.
This survey will address the problem of the dirt sidewalk on the side of Solano
middle, and whether or not it should be paved or not.
The students and staff will be able to give their opinion about the dirt sidewalk.
The survey will ask if the dirt sidewalk along the side of the school makes the
community look bad ,and if it is a hazard to the children and pedestrians.
The survey will be sent through Gmail to all students and staff.

Mrs. Bell Vice principal
Mrs.Bell agrees that having the dirt path paved would be a great idea.
She says that the dirt path paved could prevent future injuries to their students.
She also believes that having the sidewalk paved would also help beautify the school.

Talk to city officials for a concrete sidewalk


To make our idea of a concrete sidewalk along the side of Solano middle school
happen were going to have to talk to a city official .
The city official agreed that the idea was possible.
One problem was that the sidewalk was near a school and they needed
permission to stop traffic and build it.
They made us contact the school and sask there feeling of the idea.
