    ThemonthofJuneisbeingobservedasAntiMalariaMonth(AMM)everyyear.AMMcampaign
    is to bring about sustainable changes in the community towards knowledgeattitudepractice
    regarding Malaria. To improve the situation, community participation is very important which
    need to be intensified through proper Inter Personal Communication (IPC) and area & target
    specific BCC plan. Distinctive efforts also to be made to reach the vulnerable communities in
    hardtoreachareas.
    NVBDCPhasbeenprovidingeffectivediagnostictools(BivalentRDT),betterantimalarialdrugs
    (ACT/ACTL),improvedprotectivemeasurelikeLLINsandlogisticsupport(mobility,manpower
    etc.) in high Malaria endemic states. During the AMM campaign, special attention should be
    given in generating awareness and sensitizing the general masses and various stakeholders
    aboutthefacilitiesbeingprovidedbyGovernmentatfreeofcost.
    It is very important to bring multisectoral and multidisciplinary partnership with sectors like
    Urban and Rural developments, Agriculture and Irrigation, Environment and Forestry,
    Education, Panchayati Raj Institution and Tribal Welfare etc. Also, efforts should be made to
    developtherelationshipwithCorporateSectortoinvolvethemintheMalariacontrolprogramme
    underCorporateSocialResponsibility(CSR)scheme.
    Continued support should be provided to sensitize and capacity building of front line Health
    Worker i.e. ASHAs, AWWs, MPWs, member of VHSNC, NGOs so that they can pass on the
    rightandcompleteinformationregardingmalariatothetargetCommunity.
    AMMisanintegralpartoftheBCC/IECcomponenthence,expendituretowardsAMMactivities
    shall be meet out of the funds released for BCC/IEC. A comprehensive report covering both
    qualitative and quantative aspects of the campaign should be submitted after completion of
    activitiescarriedoutduringAMM.
    IhopetheAMM2015wouldbesuccessfullycarriedoutwithproperplanningandcoordinated
    action,benefitingthecommunityandfacilitateinachievingNationalHealthPolicyGoal.
