Behavior 5.1
Identify social policy at the local, state, and federal level that
impacts the well-being, service delivery , and access to social
services

- Carry out court initiation through school


procedures for students who are in violation
of compulsory attendance laws for the sake
of obtaining and education. Violation yields:
-3 day letter
-6 day letter
-10 day certified letter
-truancy court through school
-truancy court at state level

Access how social welfare and economic policies
impact the delivery of and access to social services

-Interview a student/family who has


received resources directly through the
school or referrals for services
Example: clothing, food, housing house
remodeling, medical providers

Behavior 5.3
Apply critical thinking to analyze, formulate and advocate for policies that
advance human rights and social, economic and environmental justice

-Attend CFST meeting where in school and


out of school resources/services can be
taken of advantage
-Example: mental health services, iep
services, school psychologist, behavioral
specialist, realtors, food banks,
transportation
