Accounting Technician
486 Terrace St NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106
(505) 277 - 2436

Dear [Recipient]:
I want to apply for the Accounting Technician position that was advertised by the Engineering Student
Services. My education career as a Computer Engineering and experiences I would be able to offer
contributions to your work environment.
Hired through the local chapter of the Navajo Nation, I started working as a summer student in the
summer of 2009 and last hired in summer of 2014. As a summer student I worked as an administrative
assistant, computer technician assistant, and maintenance worker at a zoo and museum. My
experience working as a summer student and Navajo Arts and Crafts has help me improve my abilities
to work as a team player, communication skills, capability to adapt to different working environments.
Obviously, these job environments are completely different from each other. I am very adaptable,
which is one of my best skills, as well as a fast learner. I adapted myself to learn how to rewire internet
cables, repaired computer hardware, perform administrative duties (filing reports on court entering,
etc.) and maintenance duties (repair/build benches, replace light tubes, etc.).
I earned my associates degree in liberal arts from University of New Mexico Gallup branch with
honors and I am currently obtaining my bachelors degree in computer engineering at University of
New Mexico Albuquerque, NM. My basic computer knowledge and studies in programming in C will
benefit your department. Throughout my educational career I was able to acquire my skills in math
and science that contributed to qualify for the deans list five times with a communitive GPA of 3.7. I
was awarded one of the highest scholarships among the Navajo Nation, which was the Chief Manuelito
Scholarship. I am a hard working student that made it out of a low academic high school to a
University pursing a bachelors degree with plans to continue even further in the future.
Thank you for the opportunity to apply for the Accounting Technician position and the time taken to
read this. I look forward to hearing from the department about the job opening. You can contact me at
1(505) 567-4997 or through my emails hardyk12@unm,edu/ kevinlhardy12@gmail.com.

Sincerely,

Kevin Hardy
