Stop the bulldozing of the Calais camps

Refugees welcome here

We condemn the disgraceful
decision by the French
authorities to go ahead with the
demolition of a huge part of the
refugee camp in Calais.
Refugees in Calais and
Dunkirk make up as little as
1% of the total number in
Europe. They could easily be
accommodated in Britain but
instead David Cameron and the
Tories are scapegoating refugees.
Cameron is keen to look
tough on immigration as the
EU referendum campaign gets
underway.
Name

The war in Syria, which the

Tories dragged us into, has
displaced millions of people.
They need help, not scapegoating.
Thousands of refugees have
drowned in the Mediterranean
over the last year. Tens of
thousands are freezing in camps
on the Turkish border and at
Calais and Dunkirk in France.
David Cameron has refused
to take in children already in
Europe and called refugees in
the French camps a bunch of
migrants.
But while Cameron means this

as an insult its migrants who

help keep our NHS running,
who teach in our schools and
staff much of our public services.
We should welcome them with
open arms.
We cant let the media or
politicians divide us. If we are
going to fight effectively against
their cuts and austerity, we have to
be united.
