Steps to configure Oracle Linux 7.

1 in Oracle VM

I am creating a Virtual Disk Image with 50 GB of fixed storage.
Make note that in this you cannot edit the storage, whereas, you can edit the RAM.

I am planning to install Oracle Linux 64 bit OS.

Click Create

Select VDI and click Next

Browse the directory where you want to get created.

Download the .iso files from https://edelivery.oracle.com

Select VINO_OBIEE VM which we got created just now and click Start, It will prompt the above screen.
Browse the .iso file (the first one alone) and click Start.

Dont press Tab, leave as it is and it will take to next screen.

Select the Language

Give the time.

Leave as default.

Click on each and update the details. Mandatory would be SOFTWARE -> INSTALLATION SOURCE,
SOFTWARE SELECTION and SYSTEM -> INSTALLATION DESTINATION.
Go to SOFTWARE -> SOFTWARE SELECTION

Go to SYSTEM -> INSTALLATION DESTINATION

Go to SYSTEM -> NETWORK & HOST NAME.


Ethernet should be enabled, else you cannot connect from your local desktop.

The above screen shot is post selection of the components and click Begin Installation.

Provide the root password.

Now Select User Creation

Accept the License Information
