Before-class preparation:
Find other simple fables/myths to briefly read in addition to Pandoras
Box
During class

Discuss fables/myth
examples, the importance of
portraying a moral/lesson
Explain the project- as a
group choose a theme from
Pandoras Box and write
another fable/story with the
same theme and publish on
kidblog

Notes: Begin as a group, quickly separate into partners (weaker with stronger)

checking for comprehension
Accommodations and extensions: ELL/disabilities may have the other,
stronger partner do the writing/typing. When work is published, have students
read each others work and identify the theme they think the other chose.

Backup plan: Read stories aloud and discuss each independently.
