Goal:
Write effective multiage lesson plans

Rationale:
It is important to be able to write a lesson plan that includes all individuals in the
classroom.
This goal relates to the following KSAs
2. The structure of the Alberta Education System.
5. All students can learn, albeit at different rates in different ways.
8. The importance of respecting students human dignity.
9. There are many approaches to teaching and learning.

Indicators of Success:

Lessons have a positive effect on the students

I am covering the curriculum needed for both grade levels
My TA and U of L Supervisor give positive feedback related to the following areas
of the PSI assessment form:
Provides clear instructions, directions and explanations
Uses a variety of instructional strategies to address desired outcomes,
subject matter, varied learning styles and individual needs.
Achieves closure for lessons, consolidation ideas, or concepts through
summaries, reviews, etc.
Demonstrates subject matter competence during instruction.
Organizes and directs learning for individuals , small groups and whole
class
