    Microorganisms

    68. THIOBACILLUS NEAPOLITANUS MEDIUM

    KH2PO4 4.0 g
    K2HPO4 4.0 g
    MgSO4 x 7 H2O 0.8 g
    NH4Cl 0.4 g
    Trace element solution (see medium 69) 5.0 ml
    Na2S2O3 x 5 H2O 10.0 g
    Bromocresol purple (saturated aqueous solution) 0.5 ml
    Distilled water 1000.0 ml

    Adjust pH to 6.6 - 7.0.


    Sterilize Na2S2O3 separately in 100 ml of distilled water. For agar medium use 1.5%
    Difco Bacto Agar.
