Eiffel Tower:
The Eiffel Tower is a 19th century iron lattice
tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris that has
become both a global icon of France and one of the most
recognizable structures in the world.

 It used as a observation tower and radio broadcasting.

 Constructed from 1887-1889.
 The tower stands at 324 m (1,063 ft) tall, about the same
height as an 81-story building(including restaurant).

Till the time of June 2007 Eiffel Tower consider
as a one of the wonder of the world.
In this year the voting of the new 7 wonder held
and Eiffel Tower lost the race. This is the big
disappointment for the France and it’s citizen.
(But it never lost it popularity )

According to the survey which is was held in the
month of December 2009, Eiffel Tower named
the most favorite building(tourist destination)
leaving behind Taj Mahal & Statue of liberty .

This survey done by Hotel.com that was most

favorite for the travelers.

 The structure of St. Petirs Basilica on 2nd place
with 8% of voting.

 The 16th century monument of love Taj Mahal on

3rd place with 7% of voting.

 The three American icon : The Golden Gate

Bridge, Empire State building & Statue of Liberty
are in top six position with 6% of voting.
