relationships,aswellashandlechallengingsituationseffectively.
Theouterringoftheframeworkrepresentstheemerging21stCenturyCompetenciesnecessaryfortheglobalised
worldwelivein.Theseare:
CivicLiteracy,GlobalAwarenessandCrossCulturalSkills
CriticalandInventiveThinking
Communication,CollaborationandInformationSkills
Together,thesecompetencieswillenableouryoungtocapitaliseontherichopportunitiesofthenewdigitalage,
whilekeepingastrongSingaporeheartbeat.AnnexesAtoCelaborateonthesecompetencies.
Student Outcomes
Thedevelopmentof21stCenturyCompetencieswillhelpourstudentstoembodytheDesiredOutcomesofEducation
(DOE).TheseareattributesthateducatorsaspireforeverySingaporeantopossessuponthecompletionofhisformal
education.
ThepersonwhoisschooledintheSingaporeEducationsystemhasagoodsenseofselfawareness,asoundmoral
compass,andthenecessaryskillsandknowledgetotakeonchallengesofthefuture.Heisresponsibletohisfamily,
