HELSAVE OUR SWIMMING POOL!

PHILLIPS COMMUNITY CENTER

CENTER FOR CHANGING LIVES @ 2400 PARK AVENUE
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board has officially given a Six Months Reprieve on our
Phillips Community Center swimming pool. Please join us in devising a plan that re-habs the pool
into another one to provide swimming and water safety instruction and therapy opportunities
as well. A therapeutic pool built in 1936 was just rehabbed and re-dedicated at the Dowling
Elementary School. The Park Board is clear that they do not want to operate a swimming pool,
so we must also create a community-based entity to do so. We must also find a couple of million
dollars for rehab and operations in this economy. Please join us by attending this event as we
report back what we are learning and doing to save this community resource. Thanks So Much!
