theres no shortage of incredible things to see at the Vancouver Aquarium. the aquarium is a centre for marine research, conservation
and marine animal rehabilitation. The Vancouver Aquarium was one of the first facilities to incorporate professional naturalists into the
galleries to interpret animal behaviours.
The Vancouver Aquarium is widely respected for its research and marine stewardship, and visitors can learn more about the region's
marine life through the numerous exhibits. Adults and kids alike will love the entertaining and educational "encounters" program,
which allows visitors to go behind the scenes and get up close and personal with the animals and the people who train them.

The Aquarium has more than 58,000 different animals belonging to 734 different species from all around the globe including whales,
sea otters, sloths, frogs, fish, sea stars and much more. We have 34 different species of amphibians, 9 different species of birds, 179
different species of marine fish, 103 different species of freshwater fish, 364 different species of aquatic invertebrates, 11 different
species of terrestrial invertebrates, 4 different species of non-marine mammals, 8 different species of marine mammals, and 22 different
species of reptiles.
