Research Paper

The assignment for this week is to write a rough

draft paragraph about the building of the
mission. The topic of building does NOT mean
the paragraph tells HOW they built the mission.
Instead, you need to make a point about what the
mission looks like. For your research this week
you will actually find pictures very useful.
Your choices are:
mission was beautiful
mission was plain/simple
mission was impressive
Important:
1. Do not use informal language-see writing tips
2. Write in past tense and be consistent.
3. Stay on topic - dont throw in reds that dont
support the yellows.
4. You need to show that you researched / you
need to show depth of information that is very
specific to your mission. Vague comments do
not show research.
5. Conclusion cant just repeat topic exactly.
Rough draft must be stapled together and turned
in on Friday morning. Make sure the rough
draft is DOUBLE SPACED and on top.

Number the Stars

The literature unit test is
this Friday!
We already started studying for
the test last week because this
is a short week. We will also
take time to study this week
in class! Meanwhile, the
homework for Wednesday and Thursday will
be exclusively to get prepared to take the test.
As always, a parent signature will be required
to verify you studied. Also, study evidence
will be assigned for those nights. Check out the
website for what the test will be like.
