What is family?
A fundamental social group in society
typically consisting of one or two parents and

Although everyone has their own definition of
family, the one we will discussing is the
immediate family consisting of parents and
children.

what is family structure?


Family structure consist of the members of the family and the roles
played from each member.

The popular family structure has changed throughout the years in the
united states

and Children.

I have chosen to take a look at the roles mothers play in the family in
the following
Working mothers
Stay at home mothers

WorKing Moms
Working Mothers are very common in today's age. It is now seen as the
norm, with everyone striving for a career.
Some people have strong views on whether it is a positive or negative
effect on the child.

Stay at home moms hold the responsibility of taking care of their child's

Conflict VIEWS ON FAMILY


Within the family structure power is unequal, in the Mans favor
The working mother is paid less than the working dad, although
spending the same time or even more at work.
Familys essential keeps the inequality dealt with society by inheriting
children into a certain social class, wealth, and power.

Functionalist Views of
The parents ,in a two parent household, work together to take care of
family
the child.
They are responsible for creating well rounded members of society
The parents impact on the children can determine how the children
will be as parents.
essentially the purpose is to replace dead family members.
