Columbia faces sanctions in light of massacre

Independent investigation conducted by Chile, Cuba and OAS shed light on tragedy in
Colombia. UN considering implementing sanctions as negotiations are fruitless.

Regarding the devolving situation regarding the Colombian Negotiation. The United Nations
shall intends to consider implementing economic sanctions in the nation of Colombia. The
sanctions on the region would in effect halt all exports of Colombia and any money currently
held in foreign accounts will be frozen.
These movements stem from recent atrocities, corruption, and drug trafficking perpetuated
by both para-military groups and the Colombian Government. Until significant progress is
made towards a peaceful resolution,
BREAKING NEWS ON COLOMBIAN MASACRE
Recent update in situations involving the Colombian Massacre. An International investigative
group has confirmed that FARC leaders gained possession of Colombian Military Uniforms
prior to the attack. It is also confirmed that it was indeed officials within FARC that
organized the attack. However, individual names remain unclear.
BREAKING NEWS ON MONSANTO INVESTMENT
Monsanto has secured land rights in Columbia and has begun operating to alleviate the new
strain of coffee rust leaf. Monsanto has newly stated land rights in the Amazonas region and
has begun planting and moving initial material into the region. Due to recent unrest they
have contracted Blackwater to protect their agricultural infrastructure. They, along with a
hedge fund have promised to invest a total of $2.5 B into the Colombian economy over time
specifically in agriculture and oil.
Monsanto commented on the development saying Were happy weve gained a foothold in
this emerging market and look forward to assisting Columbia in the peace process and
bringing their trade back into the international community in light of recent discussions of
sanctions.
BREAKING NEWS ON FARC TROOP MOVEMENTS
FARC troops have flooded the cities of Bogot and Medellin instigating violent skirmishes
throughout the cities. The police have been unable to respond as scandal has plagued the
police chief Palomino. The troops have no centralized locations but are emerging at night to
cause civil unrest.
