born. His parents were Linda Hel and Julian Slim
Haddad who were both of Lebanese descent.

philanthropist.From 2010 to 2013, Slim was ranked as
the richest person in the world.

He

Carlos learns business early

He

learned business practices at age 12 by his father. He

worked for this fathers company at age 17 and earned
200 Mexican pesos each week.

He

went to the National Autonomous University of

Mexico where he studied engineering. He also taught
linear programming and algebra while at the university

CAREER

He began his career as a trader and also established his own

brokerage firm. He expanded this firm and invested in a
number of businesses that included restaurants, retail,
manufacturing, and construction.

He owns a diversified business empire, with interests in diverse

sectors as telecommunications, banking, real estate,
construction, infrastructure, restaurants, hotels and snuff,
among others.

Some of them are Telmex, Amrica Mvil, Grupo Carso, Inbursa

, Inmuebles Carso, SINERGIA.

 In

2015 Slim had a fortune of 88 billion 747 million

Mexican pesos.

Slim

earns $ 27 million dollars a day.

He

holds shares in more than 200

companies.
