MITAFEST

Mitafestis the inter-college cultural festival


ofMadras Institute of Technology.The festival is
held during the month of January or February
every year.It is claimed to be the oldest intercollege festival in Chennai. The theme this year
for Mitafest was on the lines of WILD WEST.
Mitafest is the oldest and biggest annual
cultural festival of Chennai in existence today. It
is the flagship event of MIT and an event of
grandeur and extravaganza, drawing footfalls of
more than 20,000 students from 100+ colleges
for participating in 50+ events across the span
of 3 days. It has thrived for more than 40 years
and has blended along as the pride of the
institute. Famous personalities who have
endorsed and made their presence felt at
Mitafest in the past are Indian Film ActorKamal
Haasan, playwright Sujatha, music
exponentsKarthik(singer),Benny
Dayal,Naresh Iyer,Krish,Anuradha

1.After stalking Mitafest on various social media platforms, it was clear
that they werent so active .
2.Their Fb page was liked by 8192 people, and on an average , each post
fetched about 100-150 likes. Also, these posts werent shared by many
people.
3.They didnt have any outreach programs as such, and also, all their
posts were related to the fest. There were no important posters released
on significant days, nor any social causes were taken up by them to
improve outreach and publicity.

CONCLUSION
1.Overall, MITAFEST doesnt have any trademark
events as such.
2.Also,there are no new out of the box ideas that
can be
implemented in Festember.
