Stephen King

Stephen King is a very popular, world renowned writer. Born on September 21, 1947, the
popular author started writing at the early age of 7. Throughout the years he wrote for magazines,
wrote short stories, and taught high school
English in order to make enough money to live.
In 1974, King published his first book, Carrie,
which sparked his career and allowed him to
become a full time writer. Kings writing
accomplishments have surpassed several
popular authors; for example, one of his big
accomplishments was that 5 of his books had
been on New Yorks Times Bestselling list all
at once. This is a huge accomplishment for
writers, especially having multiple books on
there at the same time. Not only this, he has
also sold millions of copies for each of his
books. King wrote for almost 50 years, until he
had decided to retire in 2002. Now known as
the master of horror stories, Kings fans will always remember his prominent writings.
One of Kings most popular books is known as The Stand. In the book, an infected person
escapes from a testing facility, allowing a deadly strain of the flu to spread, and causing 99% of
the population to die. The remaining survivors team up to fight for their lives against evil.
The Stand is only one of many respectable books by Stephen King. With several million
