Copy right Law

1. What is copyright? Copy right is the law of the united states that protects
the works of authors, artists, composers, and others from being used
without permission.

2. How long does the copyright on an original work last? 70 years after the
creator has passed away.
3. What is the Fair Use Act? It allows students to use stuff for educational
purposes. Other uses for the Fair Use Act are networks, Parody and
Critical comment.
4. What is plagiarism? Plagiarism is another piece to the law, it is where
you use someone elses words as your own without sighting the
author. Always remember to give the proper credit to whoevers stuff
you use.
5. What types of things can be copyrighted? What cannot be copyrighted?

6. What is the public domain? Work that are copyright are public domain
and may be used without permission. However, you should still give
credit to the source.
7. The Fair Use Act allows anyone to use copyrighted materials for educational
purposes. What other uses are covered under the Fair Use Act? Networks,
Parody and Critical comment.
