AUSTRALIA
There are so many countries I could have chosen to research; however, I
have always been interested in visiting the Australia. I have family that live there.
Also I want to see their scenery because I think it looks beautiful.
GOVERNMENT
Australia has three arms of government which are the legislature, executive,
and the judiciary. Their legislature is responsible for debating and voting on new
laws. The executive is responsible for enacting and upholding the laws. The
judiciary is the responsible for enforcing the laws.
LOCATION
Australia is located between the South Pacific and Indian oceans.
CURRENCY
Australia currency is called the Australian dollar.1 Australian dollar equals
0.71 US dollar.
TOURISM-what can visitors do if they visit this country?
The Bondi Beach is visited for tourism. The Bondi Beach is a popular beach
and the name of the surrounding suburb in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. At
the Bondi Beach you can surf and relax on the beach. The Great Barrier Reef is
also visited for tourism. The Great Barrier Reef is the worlds largest coral reef

system composed of over 2,900 individual reefs and 900 islands stretching for
1,400 miles over an area of approximately 133,000 square miles.
FAMOUS LANDMARKS
The famous Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of there most famous landmarks.
The Sydney Harbour Bridge is a steel through arch bridge across Sydney Harbour
that carries rail, vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic between the Sydney
central business district and the North Shore. Sydney Opera House is also one of
there famous landmarks. The Sydney Opera House is a multi venue performing
arts centre in Sydney, Australia, identified as one of the 20th centurys most
distinctive buildings.
FLAGThe flag of Australia is a defaced Blue Ensign: a blue field with the Union
Jack in the canton, and a large white seven pointed star known as the
Commonwealth Star in the lower hoist quarter.
POPULATION
Australia population is 23.13 million people.
LANGUAGE
76.8% of people speak English, 1.6% of people speak Mandarin, 1.4% of
people speak Italian, 1.3% of people speak Arabic, 1.2% of people speak
Cantonese, and 1.2% of people speak Greek.

CULTURE (style of dress/religion)

The culture of Australia is essentially a Western culture influenced by the
unique geography of the Australian continent, the diverse input of Aboriginal,
Torres Strait Islander and other Oceaninan people, the British colonization of
Australia that began in 1788, and the various waves of multi ethnic migration that
followed.
FOOD
Australia has a rich variety of foods and drinks, adopted and adapted since
colonization and developed as part of a multi cultural society. In the early colonial
days, there was much ingenuity, originality and innovation in cooking. Menus
included seafood, native game and vegetables, as well as native fruits and nuts.
FAMOUS PEOPLE BORN IN MY COUNTRY
Chris Hemsworth is film actor and a television actor he was born on August
11, 1983. Chris Hewmsworth is know for his performance in The Avengers. In
2015, Hemsworth returned to his most popular character, Thor, in Avengers: Age of
Ultron. Liam Hemsworth is a actor he was born on January 13, 1990. Liam
Hemsworth is know for his performance in The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and
The Expendables 2.
