FORESHADOWING

In Of Mice and Men, Steinbeck uses a variety of

techniques to foreshadow future events (and
ultimately, the ending).
With your group, find 10 examples of foreshadowing
from the novel (you need to have at least one from
each of the six chapters).
Write a direct text passage (include page #) and then
explain what it foreshadows.
Create a slideshow to display your examples.
Share your groups slideshow with Mrs. Hearn.
Each slide should use this format:

Example: This quote should be taken DIRECTLY from
the book. (Page #)
Explanation: This example foreshadows..
