NEED WORKERS

Factory owner needs workers to begin working at his factory

straight away. He is searching for workers from rural areas
to move to the city and work for his factory. You must create
a pamphlet to convince them to move from agricultural life

Required Components:
Benefits- Discusses two benefits of factory life compared to agricultural life

This should be a comparison and presented in a positive way so as to

make someone want to move

Opportunities- illustrate (drawing) two opportunities that people could

expect if they take this job and move to the city

These can be drawn on the computer, by hand, or be pictures found on

the internet.

Picture requires a caption comparing opportunities of city life to rural

life

Expectations- discusses two expectations that people should expect

comparing city life and rural life

Gives a clear expectation of city life versus rural life. Sheds it in a

positive light so as to convince farmers to move their families

Fine Print- presents five negative side effects of city life compared to
agricultural life

These can be drawn or written or a mixture of both. It must still show

a comparison

IDEAS FOR DIFFERENTIATION/READINESS

Differentiation- allowing them to pick illustrating or writing in certain
circumstances, possibly present in different ways such as a powerpoint,
video, doesnt necessarily have to be a pamphlet?
Readiness: Give more supporting materials, perhaps send them home with a
sample pamphlet from a different unit to model it after so they arent
starting from scratch or allowing time in class to get them started
