MRS. ROMEROS 7TH
GRADE CLASS

WORKSHOP

Mathematics in the
Spring
Inside
Students volunteered their
own time on Saturday,
February 12 to attend the
Midschool Math Lights,
Camera, Fraction
workshop to teach i movie
tutorials to teachers from
across the country. They did
an amazing job!
As their 7th grade math
teacher, I couldnt be more
proud.

Mathematics in the Spring will consist of learning

algebra and geometry. Our students are developing
amazing math skills and are learning very important
7th grade concepts. We will base our 4th quarter focus
on preparing our students for algebra 1, which most
students will be learning during their 8th grade school
year. We will continue building our math skills using
Midschool Math online program and Khan Academy.
Students will be able to sharpen their math skills in
class or at home with these
programs. We will have
one final project with our i
movie tutorials and we will
be preparing for our

PARCC assessments
coming up in April.

Parents,
Above is a chart of our 7th grade DEA math data for the school year
2015-2016. As you can see our students have shown amazing growth
in mathematics. I want to thank you parents for supporting your
students academically and I want to thank my awesome volunteers,
Mr. Barry, Ms. Piatt and Dr. Katz for helping our students become
successful math learners. I am looking forward to our students
growing on their final DEA assessment in May. Students you Rock!
