Sri Rudra Stuti Devas Sri Varaha Puranam

The following is a rare hymn on Lord Rudra by Lord Brahma and Devas when they
beseech Lord Shiva for a commander for their army at the behest of Lord Brihaspati to
protect themselves from the torment of demons. Pleased with this prayer, Lord Shiva
originated Lord Skanda and made him the commander of the divine army.
