assist in increasing the outreach of World Community Grid (www.worldcommunitygrid.org),
which enables anyone with a computer, smart phone or tablet to donate their unused computing
power to advance cutting-edge scientific research on topics related to health, poverty and
sustainability.
Through the contributions of over 650,000 individuals and 460 organizations, World Community
Grid has supported research into alternative forms of clean energy, fighting diseases such as
HIV/AIDS, and cancer and confronting the adverse effects of climate. Through these
contributions, World Community Grid has enabled important scientific advances in cancer
treatment and solar energy. Our research partners have published over 35 peer reviewed papers in
scientific journals and have completed the equivalent of hundreds of thousands of years of
research in less than a decade.
World Community Grid is a philanthropic initiative of IBM, an international corporation
headquartered in Armonk, USA, combining IBM technology and talent to address some of the
world's most pressing social and environmental issues
For the next six (6) months starting from 10 August, 2014, Akshay will be assisting in the
outreach of the World Community Grid initiative by apprising organizations, and individuals,
about the accomplishments and research projects that have benefited from the donated power of
the World Community Grid volunteer community. Akshay has knowledge of World Community
Grid, and our partner program, and will be happy to discuss the impact that your organization can
make in advancing critical humanitarian research by downloading our simple and secure software
on your existing technology.
