Pikes Peak Interagency Transition Team Minutes

February 18, 2016


Introductions and background information, including
PPITTs history - Angie Brown, Facilitator
Bridges - Patrick Loeber handed out brochures and
talked about Host Home, CES and SLS services that
they offer. Bridges is new to Colorado Springs,
serving Colorados Front Range.
Discussed upcoming Resource Fair: April 21; set up
at 4pm; Fair: 5pm - 8pm. AspenPointe is
making pizzas for the vendors. No electrical
cords. Only what fits on tables permitted;
nothing behind the tables.
Resource Directory: asking for agencies to volunteer
to print directories again. Please check your agencys
information and make necessary changes.
March 15th: final day to register for the fair. To date,
20 agencies have registered. Only 11
agencies/individuals have paid $40.00 registration
fee.
Stellar Care donated $100.00 for food. Last year
PPITT spent $400.00 - $500.00 on food.
Publicity
Ann Morin (Goodwill) will make the signs again this
year.
Library will publicize in all of their locations.
MaryAnne Cooper will send information to radio and
television stations calendars.
The ARC will advertise on their television scroll.

Stargazers ; free event: 1pm, 3pm. 7pm showings
ARC Annual Awards Banquet also in May
Cindy Powell, Independence Center ADA
Coordinator, willing to provide complimentary
informal ADA accessibility surveys: 471-8181 ext.
163 or cpowell@the-ic.org. No enforcement or
reporting involved.
Metro Interagency Transition Team (MITT) will be
hosting their annual Resource Fair May 30.
Pikes Peak Library: April 1 Caregiver Event; food
and drinks at Library 21C; time to be determined
Sterling: June 23 fundraiser at Stargazers
Next meeting: 1pm on March 17 (St. Patricks
Day) at Citizens Service Center
