1. In a crank and slotted lever quick return mechanism, the distance between the fixed centers is
15 cm and the driven crank is 8 cm long. Find the ratio of the time taken during the cutting and
return strokes.
2. Design a quick return mechanism of the oscillating beam type shown in Fig.A The working
stroke is 15 cm and the time ratio of the working to return stroke is 2: 1. The driving crank is 4
cm long.

mechanism for long stoke.
