With regard to electronic editions, the University of Chicago Press is currently participating in
several e-book initiatives. They would sell my book as a Chicago Digital Edition directly to
consumers via their website, using Adobe Digital Editions software
(www.press.uchicago.edu/books/aboutEbooks.html), whereby UCP restricts access by user.
Additionally, UCPs e-book partners include Amazon (Kindle), Barnes and Noble (Nook),
Ebrary, Entourage/Edge, Follett Digital/CafeScribe, Google Editions, Kno, MyiLibrary,
NetLibrary, OverDrive, and Sony. Each of these distributors has industry-best-practice security
and protection in place.
If you are the copyright holder, may I have your permission to reprint the above material in my
book? If you do not indicate otherwise, I will use the usual scholarly form of acknowledgment,
including publisher, author, title, etc.
