My name is Ms. Lackey and I am so

excited for a

filled year!

I have been working hard all summer creating

fun and exciting things for us to do this year.
I am a graduate of Appalachian State University with my degree in Elementary Education.

OH, THE PLACES YOULL GO IN FIRST GRADE

I cannot wait to teach you all so much this year. We
will be learning so many new things this year! Our
classroom theme this year will be all things Dr. Seuss.
I encourage you all to take a look around our classroom and check all that our theme has to offer. There
are Dr. Seuss quotes to inspire students to think, pictures to foster creativity, and books to create a love for
reading, all around the room as part of our theme this
year. Also, as a part of our classroom we will have a
weekend friend that each student will have the opportunity to take home. You will learn more about out
friend in the blue side bar, on page two.

Oh, the Things Youll Need in 1st Grade

Supply List:

1 Pencil Box

1 Box of Crayons

1 Pack of Pencils

1 One Subject Notebook

2 Folders

Box of Kleenex (optional)

Hand sanitizer (optional)

Clorox Wipes (optional)

( If you need any help attaining these supplies

for your child please do not hesitate to let me
know! If any parents/guardians would like to
donate some extra supplies we would be very
thankful.)

Each weekend one student will

be selected to take home our
weekend friend. During their
time with our friend they will be
expected to care for him, protect
him and take him on their weekend adventures. Our weekend
friend, Cat in the Hat, will have a
diary where students are expected to write down what they
did with him.

Parent Volunteer Opportunities

Your childs success is the most important thing to me and it will not be
possible without your help! If you ever
have free time and would like to volunteer in our classroom it would be greatly
appreciated. Give me a call or send me
an email and we can schedule a time
that you could come in and help. For
those of you who do not have free time to
volunteer we are always in need to extra
supplies.

WERE OFF TO GREAT

I know that each and every student is capable of great things
and I intend on helping your child see that they can do anything they set their mind to. I look forward to an amazing year
with lots of fun, learning, and love. Your children are off to

OH, LOS LUGARES USTED IR EN PRIMER GRADO

No puedo esperar a ensearte todo tanto este ao.
Vamos a aprender muchas cosas nuevas este ao!
Nuestro tema de aula este ao ser todo de Dr. Seuss.
Animo todos a echar un vistazo alrededor de nuestro
saln y compruebe todo lo que nuestro tema tiene para

(Si usted necesita cualquier ayuda lograr estos suministros para que su hijo no vacile por
favor dejarme saber! Si cualquier padres
quisiera donar algunas provisiones extras estaramos muy agradecidos.)

Cada un estudiante fin de semana se seleccionarn para llevar a

casa nuestro amigo fin de semana. Durante su tiempo con nuestro amigo esperaban para cuidarlo, protegerlo y llevarlo en sus
aventuras de fin de semana.
Nuestro amigo de fin de semana,
gato en el sombrero, tiene un diario donde se espera que los estudiantes que escriban lo que
hicieron con l.

Oportunidades de voluntariado de padres

El xito de su hijo es lo ms importante
para m y no sera posible sin tu ayuda!
Si alguna vez tienes tiempo libre y le
gustara ser voluntario en nuestra aula
se sera mucho apreci. Dame una
llamada o enviar me en que un correo y
nos podemos programar un tiempo que
podra venir ayuda. Para aquellos de
ustedes que no tienen tiempo libre voluntario siempre estamos necesitados suministros adicionales.

ESTAMOS FRENTE A GRANDES LUGARES!

S que cada estudiante es capaz de grandes cosas y tiene la intencin de ayudar a su nio a ver que pueden hacer cualquier
cosa que pongan su mente a. Estoy deseando un ao increble
con un montn de diversin, aprendizaje y amor. Sus hijos
