ABSTRACT
This paper will be about a drug called Warfarin. It will include the
chemical makeup, and structure of warfarin. It will also include
the side effects of it. As well as the different names of the drug,
this paper will also include the purpose of the drug and the the
presence of the drug in Palestine and in the world.
INTRODUCTION
The discovery of Warfarin was initiated in the U.S. and Canada by
the Veterinary pathologist, Frank Schofield in 1921. It was
discovered because there was a disease outbreak of cattle in the
U.S. and Canada. The cattle ingested moldy grass from the sweet
clover plant in Canada. It acts as an anticoagulant. i

It exists in Palestine in low quantities. It is only used for medical
purposes.
