PAPER PROTOTYPE FINDINGS:
The paper prototype tests revealed some helpful suggestions and feedback which I
incorporated into my design. The separation of navigation and weapon aiming was well NOTES:
received as most could see the inherent value of keeping these controls independant •

and thus able to operate in parallel. The navigational controls were also seen as intuitive • This is something
and the direction indicator to target was also seen as helpful. One major suggestion was else
to separate the three main controls (radar, navigation, and weapons) by three different
colors. A insightful suggestion to include a “detail” component to the radar panel added
to the value of the radar and significantly boosted its effectiveness. The final significant
suggestion was to remove the “X” from the fire button, as many interpreted this symbol to
mean cancell instead of fire. Overall, the proptotype test proved informative and surfaced
some critical flaws which were able to be mitigated.
