    Competency 5

    One problem that I have found while interning at New Horizons is that
    since it is non-profit, there is limited income. New Horizons has been
    shut down before because the funds were not there to keep the shelter
    up and running. This effects service to victims and what all they can
    receive. More funding helps to ensure that mandatory items are
    available, such as food and a safe place to stay.
