Learning about the anatomy of the ear and
joining it with art.

Materials Needed :

The Lesson

Plasticine

Print of the parts of the ear diagram

Cardboard or construction paper
Toothpicks

Small paper for Labels.

Review the parts of the ear. Assign groups and distribute the
materials. Ask the students to create a model of the ear with

the materials given. I let them discuss what that might look like
and not much more directive. Students should be allowed to
create. If I see someone struggling, I might give them some
ideas and get them on the right path. When the model is
finished they label the parts.

When they are finished they fill in the worksheet and the self
assessment.

Students are assessed using the rubric.
