The 3D Ear

Learning about the anatomy of the ear and
joining it with art.
Materials Needed :
The Lesson
Plasticine
Review the parts of the ear. Assign groups and distribute the
materials. Ask the students to create a model of the ear with
the materials given. I let them discuss what that might look like
and not much more directive. Students should be allowed to
create. If I see someone struggling, I might give them some
ideas and get them on the right path. When the model is
finished they label the parts.
When they are finished they fill in the worksheet and the self
assessment.

- Use dierent colours to show the dierent parts of the ear.
- Make sure that the size of each part is accurate/
proportionate.
- The labels should be neat and have no mistakes.
- Clean your area.
