Chapter 7
Time and Money

We will continue chapter 7 this


week. Students will order coins in a
collection by value and then find the
total value. Students will represent
money amounts less than a dollar using
two different combinations of coins and show
one dollar in a variety
of ways. We will also
begin part 2 and tell and
write time to the hour
and half hour.
MATH words: quarter, dime, nickel,
penny, dollar, dollar sign, decimal point,
minutes, half past, hour hand, and minute hand

I am so proud of my 2nd graders and how they are working in class


and their reading scores are soaring! They have been working so hard and
it shows in their scores. Keep up the great work!! We have a lot to accomplish over the next several months. I am looking forward to additional science & social studies units, butterfly theme unit, Earth
Day activities, Field trip to Callaway Gardens, etc. and
much more to come!
Continue to encourage your child to keep reading
each night and working hard each day. We want to finish the year strong. Thank you for all of your support
throughout this year. I could not do it without you!
