This lesson plan is for 10-11 year olds and focuses on teaching about volcanoes through a website, classroom activities, and an experiment. It involves reviewing weather vocabulary, learning the parts of a volcano, how they erupt, and safety tips from the website. Students then participate in a speaking activity where they ask and answer questions about the material. Finally, they do a hands-on experiment where they drop Mentos into Coke bottles to simulate volcanic eruptions.
