ELECTIONS
A. General elections are held annually to determine officers for president, vice president,
secretary, treasurer, and chair of several committees.
RECOGNITION
A. Board members were recognized by Dr. Machesky for their service.
B. TSD Mission Moment Troy High School students fundraising efforts for Caring for Karen
campaign.

GENERAL - CONSENT AGENDA
A. Minutes of the December 1, 2015, Board of Education Workshop

PERSONNEL
-Contract for ELD Specialist to be split between Martell and Schroeder
-Contract for an elementary teacher
-Contract for Director of Employee Services (David Pass).
CURRICULUM
A) M-STEP Results
ELA tested in grades 3-8, 11
-We ranked #1 overall in comparison to other schools.
Math tested in grades 3-8,11
-We placed number one in Oakland County. Top 3 in every category with the exception
of 8th grade Math where we were #4.
Science tested in grades 4,7,11
We were #7 overall. We placed in 11th place for 4 and 7th grade. 11th grade we were at #2
for total number of students proficient in Science
SS tested in 5, 8, 11
#2 overall in the county. #1 in 5th grade, #5 in grade 8 and #4 for 11th grade.

Conclusions of M-STEP: Overall positive results relative to other school districts reflect the work
of continuous improvement; Science scores were lower than region at 4th and 7th grade levels;
baseline data is not comparable to the MEAP
