Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (India)

Summary
As a key member of the QA automation team, this individual will be responsible for contributing
to qualifying product deliverables in a thorough, methodical, and timely fashion. The right
candidate will be intelligent, able to learn quickly, achievement focused, meticulous in detail,
flexible and innovative in their approach to tackling varied testing challenges, and will always
strive to improve the quality of their work. This individual will view himself/herself as a true
professional in the software QA field.
Responsibilities
Analyze product and technical specifications and determine relevant testable scenarios
Create reusable and automatable test documentation according to CSOD QA standards
Collaborate with testing SMEs to automate test scenarios as appropriate.
Develop effective and executable test strategies to tackle complex automated testing
challenges.
Provide mentorship to other team members as appropriate
Participate in planning and design discussions with development and QA teams.
Provide responsible leadership on all projects in assigned areas.
Ensure that automated tests appropriately exercise system functionality.
Find and appropriately document defects and validate fixes.
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of products, both from a
business perspective as well as a technical perspective.
Provide mentorship to other QA Engineers.
Manage multiple concurrent priorities.
Provide status updates to management, and escalate issues appropriately.
Required Skills and Experience
7+ years in software development and/or test automation
3+ years of experience with HP UFT/QTP
1+ years of experience focused on building/maintaining test automation frameworks.
Strong understanding of the fundamentals of web architectures.
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills in a technical environment
Self-motivated, requiring minimal oversight
Good team player with the ability to handle multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced
environment.
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Experience creating documented test scenarios.
Ability to understand, write and execute complex SQL queries.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, related
field, or equivalent degree and experience.
Desired Skills and Experience
Previous development experience with Java or C#
Working knowledge of open source Automation tools like Selenium.
